My name is Joe Geluso. I am a tenured assistant professor at Nihon University’s College of Law in Tokyo, Japan. I received my PhD in 2019 from Iowa State University (ISU) where I majored in applied linguistics and technology. My research interests include corpus linguistics, phraseology, international collaboration for learning, and research methods in applied linguistics. I like to use mostly Python (Pandas, Seaborn, NumPy, etc.) for corpus and data analysis, partially because most people in applied linguistics seem to prefer R.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, doing GMB, watching movies and TV series, and spending time with my family and friends.
